Consumers are moving away from watching content on a handful of prime networks to multiple linear channels and on-demand content on multiple devices. For many, streaming is now the default vehicle for everyday entertainment and content consumption.

While the pandemic proved enormously disruptive to cinemas as well as traditional linear and live television broadcasts, video streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video didn’t just weather the storm, they came out ahead. Rather than wear the cost of adverse economic headwinds, they thrived as more and more consumers were moved indoors and online as they looked for greater choice in viewing content.
