Today there are a multitude of different technologies and app offerings to help you manage your global mobility programs, from point solutions to integrated end-to-end suites. Not all business applications are created equal. That isn’t to say that one type of business application is better than another, but rather there are different ways an application can be built and delivered to an end user, and those differences have benefit tradeoffs. The purpose of this document is to clarify the different types of business applications available for global mobility management (GMM), how they work, and what’s important when evaluating a technology solution for managing your globally mobile workforce. Before reading any further, if you’re not familiar with some of the common “tech jargon”, we have provided a short list of terms and their definitions at the end of this guide.
