Working on wellbeing: Mental health and wellness in the UK workplace

A year since COVID-19 turned our world upside-down, the impacts have begun to become clearer. For some, what’s left is hopeful optimism. For others, sheer exhaustion. Though words like ‘mental health’ and ‘wellness’ aren’t new—in or out of the workplace—they’ve never been more important.

So, as we look beyond the one-year anniversary of the first national lockdown, we’re keen to hit pause to reflect on what workplace mental health and wellbeing means in the shadow of a global health crisis. And why you—for the future of your business and staff— should care.

In this report, we look at the current state of mental health and wellness in the UK workforce and how UK workplaces can better look out for and care for their employees. Our hope is that this report offers a valuable contribution to the awareness and importance of mental health and encourages employers to proactively ensure that the mental health of their employees is a top priority.
