The ABCs of cyber-confidence

Should Kiwis be more cyber-confident? Businesses and the workforce need to get back to life and resume to the best kind of new normal possible.

For this to be possible, a frank assessment of how the pandemic has changed the risk profile of systems, processes and workforce structures for many businesses and organisations is necessary.

While New Zealand set the benchmark for risk mitigation in response to public health during the pandemic, it was less able to resist an increasingly virulent level of cyber-attack.

This has spiked awareness of the significant work still to be done by business and government to improve the national cybersecurity stance.
