Love it or hate it, remote work has become a major part of the business landscape in the past year, and it’s not going anywhere. More than 80% of business leaders surveyed by Gartner plan to have at least a partially remote workforce moving forward.

A commissioned study conducted by Forrester Consulting on behalf of Slack zeroed in on these benefits for teams that switched to Slack from email and chat. Moving away from these siloed communication methods led to substantial— and measurable—gains in productivity.

In its report, “The Total Economic Impact of Slack,” Forrester found that technical teams that use Slack see a 3x return on investment overall, as well as more specific benefits on the front lines.
