IDC interviewed seven organizations about their experiences using Pure Storage FlashArrays to support enterprise applications from SAP SE (hereafter referred to as SAP). Organizations tell IDC that after transitioning these workloads to Pure Storage FlashArrays, they realized significantly improved storage performance and increased productivity on the part of both IT personnel and developers and are enjoying significantly lower costs. IDC calculated that these participating organizations will achieve an average annual net benefit of $4.06 million per organization ($167,881 per 100 Pure Storage users), which would lead to a three-year return on investment (ROI) of 472%. This is because Pure Storage for SAP:

• Offers organizations a high-performance, very reliable, and agile foundation for SAP workloads
• Delivers data reduction and other significant efficiency advantages that drive significantly lower acquisition and operating costs
• Drives much higher staff productivity due to ease of use, increased IT staff responsiveness, and embedded, out-of-the-box automation solutions, such as the Copy Automation Tool (CAT) for SAP
